Marvel Comics is such trash, and it keeps getting worse.

I like Dragotta but the premise for the Absolute line doesn’t interest me AT ALL.

I think a crash in the American comic industry will happen before the end of the decade. If the recent news that I read about their being a 73 percent drop in in sales in 2023 compared to 2022 are true then things are dire and it can't be long before that crash happens. I don't see how its avoidable because I just don't see the industry making the changes it needs to make to avoid such an eventuality. We will just have to see where the dust settles once it happens.

I don't want her to take on other people's villains. I want her to be in her own city, developing her own villains and side characters.

She was on track to becoming the premiere sexiest comic book heroines due to her origins. But the comics code authority messed that up and she got her wings clipped for the silver age. I think her being a merchandising "icon" messes her up because she can't have a rounded personality besides "good". Much like Superman.

"Their -Elseworlds-like- Ultimate Universe knockoff." FTFY Jokes aside, Absolut (no We didn't forget the 'e') Batman/The Batman Who Lifts and WW/DIana Prince: Tomb Raider seem interesting. Also a Dragota fan so some interest there as well. Just finished The One Hand/The Six Fingers and retain a soft spot for anything with Kirby's DNA so New Gods round out the three books that interest Us.

Having Tom Taylor, Tom King, and the usual musical chairs makes me already out. Thanks for the video Perch.

Why do I get the sense DC should have named these alternative titles "Absolut" because readers will need a strong drink to digest those books.

I'm excited for absolutely (pun intended) none of it. Absolute DC sounds like every last bit of what made me a DC Comics fan is gone and the mainline is still purging itself. None of this sounds fun, but is overloaded with "epic" storytelling. I just don't care anymore and that makes me sad.

Some of the ideas could be interesting, but none of the announcements interest me.

If one company with some money and balls would do the 80’s model of Toy Line/ Cartoon/ Comic and put it in places kids actually go, I think a new property would absolutely clean up!

Aside Waid Justice League I don't have any interest in these DC announcements. The Absolute line is DOA for me. DC should fix your continuity problems in Prime Earth that is a mess since Infinite Frontier.

I think I'm going to wait on the Absolute line, but I am loving almost every creative team for the mainline books.

I haven't been this excited and pumped for DC in years, really seems like they're pulling out all the stops with the creative teams. It'll be very nice to see the old logo again too. Don't care about the Absolute Line at all, however.

I think DC's announcements were way better than Marvel's. There's actually a lot here I'm really interested in reading.

I do like the return of the classic DC Bullet. I had nothing against the other ones but the bullet is my favorite.

I like the occasional Elseworlds/What If story but have no interest in ongoing titles in those universes. Even as a 40+ year DC fan, I won’t be bothering with the Absolute stuff.

JSA by Jeff Lemire and (maybe) New Gods by Ram V could be alright, but the rest of this looks like the usual dumpster fire of grimdark, "metal," (Scott and Zach) Snyderverse bullshit. Batman being the size of the Hulk is stupid and "improving" Superman by making him from Krypton instead of Smallville will suck as it always does.

There wasn't much to excite me. I like characters to be the character, which means Absolute is absolutely uninteresting. I would have been more intrigued by the mainline staying with the characters, but that features Mark Waid. Waid has left me struggling to support any DC, and certainly isn't a point to encourage me to spend money. PJK on Batman and Robin sounds interesting, but the solicit makes me wonder if it will be more political propaganda. Which I don't mind exploring political ideas, but the concepts are rarely explored. It's normally just propaganda that doesn't dare challenge the ideas presented (like the illegal immigration themes in Superman that failed to explore *why* people would be "afraid".) Dan Waters on Nightwing does give me some hope...and I am looking forward to DC vs Vampires. It was a fun series.

I’ve heard the DC news and find nothing of value/interest. The young person I’m trying to get into Western comics might try these new comics but it better be interesting and fun. She likes Tim Drake but was sorely disappointed with DC not doing anything good with him.

There's people getting upset about the Absolute line, and most of it seems to miss the point of what the line is attempting. I'm not particularly interested in the line, but that could change as we get closer to it.

Pretty sure I'm at the point where I'm only getting DC if there's a unique story, like Batman Off-World (which is reaching Kevin Smith levels of delay). I'm pretty much getting The Last Halloween and the facsimiles and that's it. I'm noticing DC doesn't really have a plan for its facsimilies other than to just pump out some random ones every month. Marvel is at least committed to doing another year-long run in 2025. DC is doing that with Crisis, but a few months behind Marvel's Secret Wars and I don't see a long term plan after that.

I trust that anything from Marvel and/or DC will be insulting, propagandist trash. My faith in that is complete.

I like the idea of Spider-Boy. I think it's fun and and got my imagination running on how past Spider Dtories I've read REALLY were with him in it, even though I knew he wasn't. Just really fun fuel for my imagination, like that first Sentry miniseries that retroactively had Sentry in the Marvel Universe. That said, I think this title would be much better sold in collections and it should be aimed younger.

So far, the Alien Books Road to Resurgence is absolutely excellent, way better than anything the big two are vomiting out.

I love the art of Gurihiru but isnt *"It's Jeff"* a complete rip-off of the netflix kids show *Sharkdog* ? I mean the design and concept are exactly the same (sans superheroes in one).

It is worse than the Oscars if possible. This book Roaming? I took a look. It's fine. Its the typical slice of life/autobiographical type. But nothing difficult or challenging as an idea. It's pure virtue signaling from the Eisner judges. There were very few awards that you couldn't trace to some kind of agenda.

You have to wonder what kind of blackmail material Kelly Thompson, Tom King and Tom Taylor have to rack up all those nominations based on the rubbish they churn out.

The Eisner's feel like a joke. It is not impressive when anyone wins one
